Akın Eldes was born in Frankfurt. He began his musical education with mandolin and flute. He then played guitar when he was a high school student. After participating in many groups such as E-5, Painted Bird, Asım Can Gündüz and Playboys, he joined the Bulutsuzluk Ozlemi group between 1986 and 2000. Since 2000, Eldes has played with many artists and groups, and has recorded albums including “Bulutsuzluk Özlemi: Uçtu Uçtu, Güneşimden Kaç, Yaşamaya Mecbursun,Yol”, “Bülent Ortaçgil: Bu Şarkılar Adam Olmaz”, “Gürol Ağırbaş: Bas Şarkıları II”, “Barış Manço: Mançoloji”, “Melih Kibar: Yadigar”, “Mehmet Güreli”, “Meltem Taşkıran”, “Haluk Levent: Kral Çıplak”, “Pinhani: İnandığın Masallar”, and “Zaman Beklemez”. He has released five albums: “Kaf-i” (2002), “Türlü” (2004), “Cango” (2007), “Ara Taksim” (2009), and “Başka Türlü” (2010). Currently, Eldes performs as a solo guitarist as well as a member of the Pinhani group in many concerts.
