Assoc. Prof. Turhan Çetin

Turhan Çetin was born in Eşme in 1961. After graduating from Gazi University Teachers′ college in 1982, he taught painting at Çanakkale Çan High School in 1982-1983. From 1984 to 1987, he served as a research assistant at the Sculpture Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University. He pursued his master′s degree at Hacettepe University, which he completed in 1986. In 1986-87, Çetin researched art at the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts. In 1994, at his alma mater, he completed his doctoral degree with proficiency in arts. He served as the Head of the Sculpture Department between 2000 and 2002. In 2004, Çetin became an Associate Professor. He has had several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. He has received many awards for his works. Çetin currently serves as the Head of the Sculpture Department at Hacettepe University.
