Şükrü Aysan

Şükrü Aysan was born in 1945. He lives in İstanbul. He graduated from the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts, Ali Çelebi – Zeki Faik İzer studio in 1969. He continued his art studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris between 1970 and 1975. He had his first solo exhibition in 1976. In 1977 he started to work as an instructor at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts. The same year he founded the Definition of Art Group in Istanbul. Since then, he has participated in making work as a part of the aforementioned group.
