Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mutlu Erbay is the Head of the Department of Fine Arts at Boğaziçi University. After graduating from the Painting Department at Marmara University in 1989, she completed her master′s degree at Boğaziçi University in 1992 and doctoral degree in the Faculty of Education at Marmara University in 1995. She also completed her second doctorate in the Department of Art History at Istanbul Technical University in 1997. Since 1989, Dr. Erbay has been working as a faculty member at Boğaziçi University. In 1999 she received the title of Associate Professorship.
Dr. Erbay has written many articles on art politics, art history and art critiques for national and international academic journals. She has published many books including Plastik Sanatlar Eğitimi′nin Gelişimi (Istanbuli 1997), Müzelerde Sergileme ve Sunum Tekniklerinin Planlanması (Istanbul, 2011), and Sanat Eğitimi Üzerine (Istanbul, 2013). She has received several awards for her academic works. In addition to academic works, Dr. Erbay has also painted and held many solo exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She has also participated in many national and international group exhibitions.
