Art Profile	:	Alev Demirkesen was born in Istanbul in 1964. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University. She learned Turkish decorative arts: ceramic decoration, miniature art, drawing and illumination art (Tezhip) from Emin Barın, Tahsin Aykutalp, Cahide Keskiner, Kerim Silivrli and Neşe Aybey. Demirkesen has had solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad.
