Ela Cindoruk

Ela Cindoruk was born in Ankara in 1963. She graduated from the Department of Arts Industrial Design at Middle East Technical University. She then studied Jewelry and Metals at Parsons’ School of Design in New York. Cindoruk is a partner of ‘elacindoruknazanpak’ jewelry studio and gallery in Istanbul, which she co-founded in 1993. She has participated in many national and international exhibitions. Her works have been exhibited in many galleries such as Alternatives Gallery (Rome), Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Paris), VundV Gallery (Vienna), and IKSV Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation Design Shop (Istanbul). Alongside her work as a jewelry maker, she has designed products and lectured at Istanbul Bilgi University and Istanbul Technical University. In 2012, Cindoruk received an honorable mention award for her work “Five in One” in the Red Dot Design Award. Currently, she lives and works in Istanbul.
