İlhan Akdağ

İlhan Akdağ was born in Turhal in the district of Tokat in 1946. He graduated from the Faculty of Mines in Istanbul Technical University. He had an interest in gemstones when he was a student and started to collect different kinds of stones. Later, he worked on these stones and applied them to accessories and jewelry. His jewelries, made of stones and silver, are evaluated by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In 1980, he founded AGAT Mining Company and has been training young craftsmen. He also served as a tutor at the education activities which were held by a non-governmental organization.
