Sevan Bıçakçı

Sevan Bıçakçı was born in Istanbul in 1965. He started working as an apprentice of Hocsep Catak in the Grand Bazaar at the age of 12. In 2002, Bıçakçı exhibited his first collection. He then founded his workshop in Istanbul. He has received many awards for his jewelry, including Town and Country Couture Awards (2006, 2007, and 2008) and Turkish Golde Design Award. Bıçakçı was also nominated for the Jameel Prize Award and was counted as the top five most noteworthy jewelry designers by the Tanzanite Foundation (2007). Bıçakçı currently lives and works in Istanbul.
