Lokman Kurşunlu

Lokman Kurşunlu was born in Istanbul. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. He worked as an engineer in Turkey and abroad. In 2002, he founded the Studio Kurshuni with Elif Esra Kurşunlu. Since 2002 they have made glass works and jewelry, and trained over 347 students at their studio. They won three prizes in a competition, which was organized by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Kurşunlu incorporates the history of Istanbul in his glass works and jewelry, mixing traditional Turkish culture with today’s trends. In 2007, he prepared a collection for the museum shop DÖSİM belongs to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Currently he produces glass works and jewelry at his studio and sells them in Turkey and abroad, including Spain and Australia.
