Süha Semerci was born in Denizli, Çivril in 1960. He graduated from the Department of Decorative Painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1981. During his studies, he worked on the restoration of Sait Halim Paşa Yalısı (Sea mansion), painted book covers and created graphic works. In 1985, he went to France and Italy, and served in restoration works. Semerci worked in painting, stained glasses, and mosaics at his workshop which he founded in Istanbul in the end of 1985. In 1990, he patented mirror which has trichromic printing on the reverse. After working in advertisement and decoration works, Semerci concentrated on painting and making mosaics. He has had many solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and national and international symposiums. Semerci has applied mosaics and stained glasses on the wall of museums, private houses and companies. Currently, he continues to work in Istanbul.
