Sıtkı Halıcı

Sıtkı Halıcı was born in 1949 and finished high school. He started learning how to weave carpet in his childhood, which was his father’s business. Halıcı became a master craftsman on weaving local carpets and preparing natural dyeing. He also became an experienced carpet repairman. As of today, Halıcı is one of the most famous antique carpet repairmen, who are recommended by Niğde Directorate of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
