Ekin Bernay was born in Ankara in 1987. After graduating from the Department of Communication and Design at Bilkent University, she moved to London for her postgraduate studies. She completed her Master′s degree in Fashion Design Management at the University of the Arts London, London College of Fashion in 2009; and second Master′s degree in Dance Movement Psychotherapy at the University of Roehampton in 2013. She has 19 years of active dance experience, with previous performances at important stages such as Sadlers Wells and The Place. Besides being a performance artist, Bernay currently works as a dance therapist with individuals with autism and Down’s Syndrome in London.
