Seçil Demircan graduated from the Department of Music and Performing Art in the Faculty of Art & Design at Yıldız Technical University. During her education, she participated in "The Hidden" as a guest dancer of the Istanbul Dance Theatre, with which she attended the Venice Dance Biennial. With a full scholarship, Demircan participated in the Performing Arts Cultural Exchange Program, which was held at the John F. Kennedy Center. After graduating from Yıldız Technical University, she worked as a dancer in the Contemporary Ballet Company. Her last performance "Etude I – Quad I, Etude II – Ghost Trio, Etude III – …but the clouds…" was shown in the 13th Istanbul Biennial, in which she collaborated with artist Inci Eviner for the project "Co-Action Device: A Study." Demircan has been exploring the relationship between dance and movement studies of the acting process. She currently works as an instructor at the Theatre Department of Maltepe University.
