Assist. Prof. Dr. Seda Ayvazoğlu

Seda Ayvazoğlu began her ballet education at the Izmir State Conservatory in 1994. Six years later she was accepted to the Munich Ballet Academy by the director Prof. Vernon Hoffman Konstanzethe and studied Russian ballet with Prof. Alexander Prokofiev and Prof. Konstanze. In 2004 Ayvazoğlu attended the 21st International Varna Ballet Competition. Since 2005 she has choreographed several ballet works including "Ballet with folksongs" (2005) and "Venus & Adonis" (2013). In 2005-2007 she was trained at the Bayern Munich Theater and Essen Ballet Company in Germany. Ayvazoğlu performed as a guest ballet dancer in the Izmir State Ballet Company from 2007 to 2010. She choreographed Gluck’s “Der betrogene Kadi” two act Opera.
 
Besides being a ballet dancer and choreographer, Ayvazoğlu began her academic career in 2004. She completed her Master′s and doctoral degree in Performing Arts (Ballet and Dance) at the Institute of Fine Arts of Izmir Dokuz Eylül University. Ayvazoğlu has worked as an instructor and research assistant at the Ballet Department of the Izmir State Conservatory. In 2010 she was accepted by the president Marina Leonova to the Ballet Pedagogy Program at the Moscow Ballet Academy. In 2010 Ayvazoğlu toured Spain with the Izmir State Ballet Company and performed the Ballet "Carmina Burana." In September 2010 she established the Ballet Department at Adana Çukurova University State Conservatory. Since 2011 she has served as the head of the Ballet Department at Adana Çukurova University State Conservatory. In 2011 her choreography “Yan yana” ballet suite was staged in the Osnabrück Morgenland Festival in Germany with the Izmir State Opera and Ballet. Dr. Ayvazoğlu published a book entitled "Okul Öncesi Dönemde Bale Eğitimi" (Ankara: Sözcü Kitabevi, 2013).
