Erol Albayrak was born in Izmir in 1971. He graduated from the Fashion and Art Academy. In Izmir, he prepared not only his own collection but also ready-to-wear collections for various companies in Turkey and abroad. Albayrak exhibited his first collection at the CPD Fashion Fair in Düsseldorf. In 1997, he started working as a design director at Cemil İpekçi Fashion Studio in Istanbul. It caused to create an Ottoman Anatolian line in the Albayrak collection. In 2001, Albayrak introduced his fashion show "Selamlık" under the sponsorship of the Dutch Royal Family. This show consisted of 70 pieces in total, and was presented by 70 male models. It was followed by his other collections such as “Musqua”, “Harem Suare”, “Republican Women”, “Anatolian Breezes”, “Mevlana”, “Fashion in Circus”, “Cinema by Erol Albayrak”, “Jungle”, “Splash”, and “Discoteqhue.” His collections have been shown in various fashion shows and organizations, which were held in the Netherlands, USA, Russia, Israel, Greece, Japan, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania, Latvia, and Cyprus. Albayrak won the “Best Dress” awards in the Miss World Contests, which was held in China (2005) and England (2011). In 2011, he received the Best Fashion Designer Award at the 2011 European Union Quality Awards. Currently, Albayrak continues creating haute couture and ready-to-wear collections.
