Nil Kandemir

Nil Kandemir was born in Nazilli in 1982. She graduated from the Biology Department at Dokuz Eylül University in 2007. During her education, she also studied fashion design and pattern in a special course. In 2008 Kandemir started her Master’s degree at the Domus Academy Fashion and Design. After completing her Master’s program, she worked for a year as an intern of Doo Youn Jeoung, who has designed for Versace for many years. After returning to Turkey, Kandemir continued her career working with Rojin Aslı Polat. In 2010 while working for Koton, she joined ITKIB Koza Young Designers Contest and won the first prize. After working a year in Park Bravo as a designer, Kandemir entered the Design Realization Program at London College of Fashion-Center for Fashion Enterprise with a scholarship of ITKIB in 2012. She then founded her brand "Nil Kandemir" and presented 2013 summer collection in the Istanbul Fashion Week. She also attended Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Istanbul and presented her 2014 Spring / Summer collection. Kandemir currently works for her brand at her office in Fashion In Cube (Fashion Incubator Center). She also serves as a consultant for several textile firms.
