Fuat Çiftçi was born in Kaman in 1970. He graduated from the Department of French Language and Education at Uludağ University. He worked as a teacher for a long time. He began writing poetry in his childhood. His first poem was published in the magazine "Türk Edebiyatı" (September 1988, no. 179). His poetry, critiques have been published in Gülpınar, Gençiliğin Sesi, Ajans, Varlık, Şiiri Özlüyorum, Şiir gözü, Yom, Hürriyet Gösteri, Kitaplık, Aktalpa, Budala, Bireylikler and Çağdaş Türk Dili. Çiftçi has served as an editor in the "Şiiri Özlüyorum" and "Şiir Gözü" Magazine. He also published the private manifest “Bağımlılık-Şiir”. In 1990, he published many books: “Toros Dağlarına Gümüş Giyindim”, “Tedirgin”, “Yalnız” and “Kuşkulu”. In addition, he published poem bulletin “Ufuk Bir Ustura”, which consisted of his poems. His book “Aynada Arbede” was published by the Yom Publications in 2005. His essay and critique book “Bağımlılık-Şiir” was published in 2008. The last poem book “Ağrılı Renk” come out in 2009. As of today, Çiftçi lives in Avanos and continues his work.
