Melih Güneş

M. Melih Güneş was born in Akşehir. After graduating from the Architecture Department at Yıldız Technical University, he completed his Master′s degree in Restoration at the same university. He published a part of Nazım Hikmet′s poetry works. Güneş brought Nazım Hikmet′s belongings from Moscow to Istanbul and held the exhibition entitled "Şehrime ulaşamadan bitirirken yolumu / Nazım ve Vera, Moskova′dan İstanbul′a" at the Yapı Kredi Culture Center. He also organized the exhibition called "Ben Yaşardım Aşk ve Sanatla" on the occasion of Semiha Berksoy′s 100th Birthday. In addition to these exhibitions, Güneş curated several exhibitions such as "Doğumunun 100. Yılında Geleneksel Mimarinin Şairi Nail V. Çakırhan" and "Halet Çembel ile Buluşma" and prepared catalogues. In 2016, he received Nazım Hikmet Research Award in the International Eskişehir Poetry Meeting. Güneş currently continues his work in Istanbul.
