Oruç Aruoba was born in Karamürsel in 1948. After finishing at TED Ankara College, he completed his master′s and doctoral degree in psychology at Hacettepe University. He became a specialist on Philosophy Science, and taught at the same university from 1972 to 1983. Aruoba was a member of philosophy seminar at Tübingen University in Germany between 1976 and 1977. He also worked as a guest lecturer at Victoria University, Wellington in New Zealand in 1981. After leaving from university, Aruoba worked as a publication director, publication board member, and publication advisor in various press organs in Istanbul. He has published many articles, poems, and translations in numerous journals. Aruoba currently lives and works in Istanbul.
