Osman Hakan A. (Arslan) was born in Giresun in 1959. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Istanbul Technical UNiversity. He worked as a constructional engineer for a while. Osman Hakan A. has written poems, essays, reviews and interviews; and published them in various literary magazines such as Valık, Gösteri, Bürde, Düşler, Mor Taka, and Mühür since 1984 . In 1986 he founded the Şiir Atı Publication with his friends and began publishing poetry journals and books including Göç ve Ölüm Şarkıları (1987), Yol Şarkıları (1991), Gül Odası (1995), and Nâr (2006). Among his other poetry books are Seyahat, Hemen (Istanbul: Varlık publication, 2001), Sarı Ekin (Istanbul: Digraf publication, 2005), Bizim Romanımız Şarkılarımız (2006), and Dil Şairin Nesi Olur (Istanbul: Digraf publication, 2006). In 1995, Osman Hakan A. received a Behçet Necatigil Poetry Award for his book "Gül Odası." He currently continues his work in Istanbul.
