Özen Yula was born in Eskişehir in 1965. He finished Anadolu High School and West Albany High School in the USA. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences at Hacettepe University. He continued his master’s degree at the Theater Department of DTCF. Yula worked as a magazine editor and text writer in an advertising agency for a while. His first story book, Öbür Dünya Bilgisi was published in 1993. He then published Toplu Oyunlar 1 (1996), Buğuevi (1998), İstanbul Beyaz, Rakı Rengârenk /80060 and Toplu Oyunlar 2. His play dramas İstanbul Beyaz, Rakı Reng’arenk / 80060 and Ay Tedirginliği were played in the 5th Street Theatre; Hayat Devam Ediyor was played in the Öteki Theatre by Izmit Metropolitan Municipality Theater.
