Asuman Kafaoğlu Büke

Asuman Kafaoğlu Büke was born in Istanbul in 1959. She graduated from the Department of Philosophy at California State Long Beach University. She then started teaching at the Department of Philosophy of Middle East Technical University and Boğaziçi University. She also translated English and French literary works into Turkish. Büke prepared and presented a radio program about literature and classical music for TRT and Açık Radio. She then taught Dramaturge at Istanbul University and Music at Istanbul Bilgi University. Besides teaching, Büke has written book reviews for book supplement of Cumhuriyet newspaper. Since 2008 she has been writing literary critique for Radikal newspaper. She published Yazın Sanatı in 2011. Büke currently continues teaching history of literature and writes book reviews in Istanbul.
