Sümer Tilmaç was born in Malatya in 1948. He started performing in the Arena Theatre in 1964. He graduated from Istanbul Municipality Conservatory in 1968. Tilmaç performed in over 60 theater plays. He also acted in more than 210 films including "Meraklı Köfteci," "Vatandaş Rıza," "Ah Güzel İstanbul," "Gırgıriye," "Kılıbık, Damga," "Acı Dünyalar," "Reis Bey," "Kahpe Bizans" and "Hemşo" and many TV series such as "Süper Baba" and "Karaoğlan." In 2002 he won the Best Supporting Actor Award in the 7th Sadri Alışık Awards. Tilmaç passed away in Istanbul in 2015.
