Tanju Gürsu
(1938-2016)

Tanju Gürsu was born in Trabzon in 1938. He graduated from Trabzon High School. He started acting in films in 1962. Since then he acted in numerous films and TV series. Gürsu established the Anıt Film and produced many films. He wrote three film scripts and directed five films. Gürsu received many awards including the Best Supporting Actor Award in the 25th Antalya Film Festival (1988), the Best Actor Award in the 34th Antalya Film Festival (1997), and the Lifetime Honorary Award in the 40th Antalya Film Festival (2003). Tanju Gürsu passed away in  Istanbul in 2016.
