Göncagül Sunar

Goncagül Sunar was born in Istanbul in 1970. She started performing at the Şahika Tekand and Studio Oyuncular Company in 1991. In 1992 she debuted with a role in the TV series "Mahallenin Muhtarları." Since then she has worked with famous directors such as Çağan Irmak and acted in many theater plays, films, and TV series including "Asmali konak" (2002), "Döngel Kârhanesi" (2005), "Çemberimde Gül Oya" (2004), ”Issiz Adam" (2008), "Muhteşem Yüzyıl (2013), and "Kaderimin Yazıldığı Gün" (2014). Besides being an actress, Sunar is a musician; she composes and sings, while playing guitar. Sunar currently lives and works in Istanbul.
