Zafer Ergin was born in Ankara in 1942. He graduated from the Department of Art History in the Faculty of Language, History and Geography at Ankara University. He started acting at the Ankara Deneme Sahnesi. In the 1970′s and 1980′s he acted as a voice actor for many foreign TV series and films which were broadcasted on TRT. Besides theater plays, Ergin has acted in many films and TV series including Sümela′nın Şifresi: Temel" (film, 2011), "Umut Yolcuları" (TV series, 2010), Newyork′ta Beş Minare" (film, 2010), "Güneşi Gördüm" (film, 2009), "Akasya Durağı" (2008), "Dünyayı Kurtaran Adamın Oğlu" (film, 2006), "Arka Sokaklar" (TV series, 2006-2014), "Kanlı Düğün" (TV series, 2005), "Kurtlar Vadisi" (2003-2005), "Deli Yürek-Boomerang Cehennemi" (film, 2001), "Berlin in Berin" (film, 1993),"Yaprak Dökümü" (TV series, 1987). Ergin became famous for his role in the TV series "Kurtlar Vadisi." Since 2006 Ergin has acted in the TV series "Arka Sokaklar." In 2014 he presented a TV program "Kim Milyoner Olmak İster?". Ergin currently continues his work in Istanbul.
