Berke Baş received her Master′s degree in Media Studies at New School University in New York in 2000 after graduating from the Department of Political Science at Boğaziçi University in 1993. She co-founded inHouse projects with Melis Birder in New York in 1998. Since then Baş has worked in various documentary and feature film projects as producer, director, editor and cameraperson. Among her documentary films are: "In Transit" (2004), "What a Beautiful Democracy!" (2006), "Concrete Park" (2009) and "Hush: La Chanson de Nahide" (2009). She has received several awards including "The Best Documentary Film" for the film "In Transit" in the 11th Nurnberg Turkish /Germany Film Festival (2006) and a jury special prize for the film "Bağlar" in the 15th !f Istanbul International Independent Films Festival (2015). Baş currently works as a director and producer at inHouse Project and teaches as a lecturer at the Cinema-TV Department of Istanbul Bilgi University.
