Kazım Öz was born in Tunceli in 1973. He worked as an actor and director at the Teatra Jiyana Nû within the Mesopotamia Culture Center in 1992. After graduating from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 1998, he studied at the Department of Cinema and TV in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University and graduated in 2003. Öz currently continues his doctoral degree in Cinema and TV at Marmara University.
