Koray Sevindi

Koray Sevindi was born in Istanbul. After graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, he worked as an assistant director for various short films, documentaries and commercial films. He then went to New York to study film directing at New York Film Academy with a scholarship. His first short film "Ekmek" was screened in many film festivals in Turkey and abroad, and won several awards, six of which are "Best Film" awards. Sevindi produced animation project "Kafa" with a support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He has written articles about cinema for "Hayal Perdesi" journal. Sevindi was one of the jury members of the 8th Pentedattilo Film Festival in Italy. He is coordinator and instructor at the Istanbul Cinema Center. Sevindi continues his Master′s degree in Cinema Studies at Marmara University in Istanbul.
