Zeynep Dadak

Zeynep Dadak was born in Balıkesir in 1978. After graduating from the Department of Cinema-TV at Marmara University, she completed her Master′s degree at Istanbul Bilgi University. Dadak currently pursues her doctoral degree in the Department of Cinema Studies at New York University. She has taught cinema at various universities. Since 2001 Dadak has shot many documentary films and short films. The film "Bu Sahilde," which she shot with Merve Kayan, premiered in the Rotterdam Film Festival Tiger Shorts Competition. Dadak has been working as a writer and publication board member for the Altıyazı Monthly Cinema Magazine since 2004. She edited "60′ların Türk Sineması" and "70′lerin Türk Sineması." In 2013 she shot the feature film "Mavi Dalga" (The Blue Wave) with Merve Kayan and won several awards in the 50th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Dadak is a recipient of the 2014 TCF Cultural Exchange Fellowship.
