Kerem Akça

Kerem Akça was born in Istanbul in 1983. He graduated from the Department of Arts and Cultural Management of Bilgi University in 2007. In 2000 and 2001 he attended the "Tische School of Arts" and "Filmmaker′s Workshop" at New York University. He then shot two short films. Akça began working as a film critic in 2001. In the next year he became a member of writers of the magazine "Sinema Merkez," where he edited writings on DVD and technical analysis. In 2008 he worked as an editor for "Empire Türkiye" magazine. He also wrote film reviews for newspapers such as Radikal and Star, and internet websites including sinema.com, superonline.com, and intersinema.com. In 2008 Akça started working as a film critic at Habertürk. He has also given many classes and workshops on cinema at various institıtions. Akça has attended various international film festivals and served as a jury member. He has also interviewed many famous actors and actresses in the world. Akça currently continues his work at Habertürk in Istanbul.
