Nurkan Renda was born in Ankara in 1975. He started playing the piano at the age of six. When he was 10 years old, he learned how to play guitar. He continued playing guitar at the Kemal Eroğlu Private Music School while studying at middle and high school. He played electric guitar with Cenk Eroğlu and recorded music. In 1993, Renda entered the Faculty of Music and Stage Arts at Bilkent University and studied with Ireneuzs Strachocki, Kağan Korad, and Ayhan Erman. In addition, Renda worked at a studio with Alpay, Tolga Çandar, Erkan Oban, and Ümit Eroğlu. After graduating from Bilkent University in 1998, he pursued his Master’s degree and completed it at MIAM of Istanbul Technical University in 2001. Renda has worked with renowned artists such as Demir Demirkan, Sertab Erener, Tarkan Gözübüyük, Alen Konakoğlu, Ozan Çolakoğlu, Cenk Eroğlu, Can Şengün, İsmail Soyberk, Mert Topel, Erhan Seçkin, Volkan Öktem, Eylem Pelit, Nil Karaibrahimgil, Burcu Güneş, Nazan Öncel, Tarkan, İzel, Candan Erçetin, Özlem Tekin, Aykut Gürel, İskender Paydaş, Işın Karaca, Ogün Sanlısoy, Özgün, Özge Fışkın, Güvenç Dağüstün, Ete Kurttekin, Öykü Gürman, Çiğdem Erken, and Barlas Erinç. Renda has also produced albums such as "Güldencaz" by Gülden Gökşen (2004), "Kız Kafası" by Çiğdem Erken (2011), and "Bir Başka" by Öykü Gürman (2011). Currently, Renda continues his work in Istanbul.
