Erman İmayhan was born in Istanbul in 1982. He began playing cello with Prof. Reşit Erzin at Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory in 1994. In 1996, he performed for the first time in the Philharmonic Association Concert with the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra in Istanbul. In 1999, he won third prize in the International Cello Contest at Bilkent University, which was organized by Anaçev. In 2000-2001, İmayhan participated in the Istanbul International Music Festival. In 2002-2003, he participated in the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Orchestra as a conductor of a cello group. He was invited to the Mediterranean Youth Festival in Corsica. In 2003, he graduated from the conservatory and completed master’s degree with Prof. Reşit Erzin in 2006. He played J.S. Bach’s solo suits in the St. Esprit Cathedral in Istanbul. İmayhan has performed as a soloist with Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, Akbank Chamber Orchestra, A.S.O, Eskişehir State Symphony Orchestra, and Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, he has also performed as soloist or a member of chamber orchestra “Quadro Turco”. In 2004, İmayhan won in the “Luminous Star” contest, which was organized by Iş Sanat and gave a recital. In 2009, he performed in the International Istanbul Music Festival. As of today, İmayhan teaches at Mimar Sinan University, State Conservatory.
