Gürhan Eteke has performed in many orchestras and chamber orchestras while giving many solo clarinet and saxophone recitals. He has large repertoires including not only the classics but also contemporary music: Berio, Boulez, Stockhausen and Yun. Eteke also introduces Turkish contemporary composer′s works. He is one of the founders of Trioteque, the Camerata Istanbul Woodwind Quintet, and the Uzel Ametist Clarinet Quintet. He gave concerts at the 23rd, 32nd, 33rd and 34th Istanbul International Music Festivals and the 8th, 9th International Troy Music Festivals, and the 1st, 2nd and 4th Afyon Classic Music Festivals, and the 7th International Eskişehir Festival, the Clarinet Fest 2005 and the International Vilnius Music Festival. He performs as a soloist or as an orchestra member not only in Turkey but also in Germany (Berlin, Munich), Pakistan (Islamabad, Karachi), India (New Delhi), Slovenia (Ljubljana, Velenje), Latvia (Riga), Lithuania (Vilnius, Siauliai), Estonia (Tallinn) and in Japan (Tama and Tokyo). |
