Mehmet Şenol Şişli is a songwriter, bass guitarist, and vocalist. In 1993, he founded Kargo, one of the first and most known Turkish rock bands, with electric guitarist Selim Öztürk. Şişli left the band in 2000 and performed in the band Kesmeşeker as a bassist (2006), but he re-joined Kargo in 2009. Besides being a musician, Şişli is a poet and published two poetry books Şua and Bahar Artıkları. He also released one music video "Köpekleri Saymazsan." He wrote all of the lyrics in the Kargo album "Yalnızlık Mevsimi," which is considered a milestone in Turkish rock music.
