Metin Yavuz

Metin Yavuz started playing flute with Erkan Alpay at the State Conservatory of Istanbul University. He participated in summer classes of famous flutists such as Gülşen Tatu, Ayla Caymaz, Guy Gotin and Maria Celine Labbe. In 1994, Yavuz completed his master’s degree. Between 1994 and 1999, he served as a flute instructor in the State Conservatory of Istanbul University. During the same years, he founded the Turkuaz Music Group. Yavuz has given many concerts and participated in numerous festivals in Turkey and foreign countries including England, Germany, North Cyprus, Lebanon and Kazakhstan. Currently, Yavuz continues to play with the Turkuaz Group, and teaches at TEV İnanç Türleş Private High School.
