Mustafa Tınç

Mustafa Tınç was born in Istanbul in 1976. He started music education with Bujor Hoinic, Associate Prof. Dr. Işın Metin, Prof. Dr. Gövher Hüseyinova, Prof. Dr. Naile Mehtihanova, Prof. Dr. Çetin Işıközlü, Assistant Prof. Hande Dalkılıç, Sureyya Agasleva and Janos Sportz at the Department of Theory and Composition in the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts of Bilkent University in 1994. In 1998, Tınç went to Baku to study with the Azerbaijani state artist Aydın Azimov. In 2000, Tınç graduated from Bilkent University and continued his study with Dr. Pieter Snapper, Dr. Fernando Benedon, Marc Wingate and Dr. Paul Whitehead at the MİAM of Istanbul Technical University. He completed his master’s degree in 2003.  His compositions for different acoustic instruments have been played by many groups. Currently, Tınç teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Istanbul Yeditepe University.
