Orhan Yıldız

Orhan Yıldız was born in Mersin. He studied opera at Çukurova University State Conservatory. He continued his Master′s degree with Roman Werlinsky at Mersin University State Conservatory in 1998-2002. Yıldız went to C′nipal Repertoire School in Marseilles for a half year in 2003. Yıldız attended 2002 Siemens National Opera Competition and won a third award. In the same year he participated in the Belverdere Opera Competition in Vienna and received a jury special award. In 2008 he was a finalist in the Leyla Gencer Opera Competition in 2009. Yıldız has performed in many operas such as Mersin State Opera and Ballet, Marseilles Opera, Avignon and Braunschweig Opera and Kishinev Orchestra. He received second award and three different jury special awards in the 49th International Francisco Vinas Opera Competition. Yıldız currently works as a soloist at the Mersin State Opera and Ballet.
