Selen Akçora

Selen Akçora was born in Istanbul. After studying clarinet with Ayhan Yünkuş at the Istanbul State Conservatory, she completed her master′s degree in clarinet and chamber music with Alain Boeglin at the Faculty of Music and Stage Arts of Bilkent University. She performed as a soloist with the Danish Radio Television Orchestra in the Youth Talents Concert, which was organized by the European Broadcasting Union. In 1994, Akçora performed at the International Istanbul Music Festival. She has performed as a soloist with many orchestras such as Eskişehir Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, and Bilkent Symphony Orchestra. Currently, she serves as an instructor in the Faculty of Music and Stage Arts at Bilkent University. Akçora is a member of the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra and the Neuma Quintet.
