Semih Yanyalı was born in 1980. He started playing the guitar at the age of 14. In 1998, he went to Munich to study Jazz.  In 2001, he had his first professional experiences with a crossover band in Munich. He then received concert offers in Turkey and Slovenia. Since 2002, Yanyalı has performed internationally with Cazyapjazz, which he founded, and various artists at renowned music festivals including Akbank Jazz Festival (Turkey), Marseille Africa Festival (France), Stuttgart Jazz a la Turka and Regensburg′s Jazz Days (Germany), as well as festivals in Spain, USA, Slovenia, Slovakia and Austria. In 2006, he released his first album, titled Latife. Most of the songs in the album were composed and arranged by Yanyalı.

Yanyalı creates comprehensive stylistic combinations in his music. In 2009, he was featured on the German television program “Freiraum”, where he presented the thriving metropolis of Istanbul from the perspective of a musician. In 2010, he worked with the award-winning filmmaker Sedat Arslan on his short film “Hazal”, for which Yanyalı composed the score. In the same year, he released the album "Composers Duo Music by the Kaiser and Semih Duo” with compositions by Matthias Kaiser.

Currently, Yanyalı gives concerts with his band Cazyapjazz in Europe, and releases albums worldwide. He is also a member of Projektil and Kaiser&Semih.
