Senem Zeynep Ercan

Senem Zeynep Ercan began her piano studies with Fethiye Sanlıkol. She graduated from the Music Department at Marmara University. In 1992-2006 she also studied piano with Ali Damar. Ercan completed her master′s degree in piano with Ayşegül Sarıca and completed her doctoral degree in 2010 at MIAM of Istanbul Technical University. In 2006-2008 Ercan continued her doctoral degree with Sam Biviano at Memphis University with a fellowship. She also studied with famous pianists and pedagogues such as Sheila Page, Catherine Vickers and Pamela Mia Paul.

Ercan has performed as a solo pianist as well as a member of chamber orchestras. She has premiered many Turkish and American composers′ contemporary works. In 2012 she performed German and Turkish composers′ works for chamber orchestra in Istanbul and Essen. Ercan currently works as a tutor at the State Conservatory of Istanbul Technical University.
