Simge Büyükedes was born in Istanbul in 1981. In 2007, she graduated from the Opera Department in the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory, where she studied with Ece İdil. In 2007, she received an award in the Teatro all Scala di Milano International Competition and studied at the Teatro alla Scala di Milano Academy. Büyükedes worked with prominent artists such as Leyla Gencer, Mirella Freni, Luciana Serra, Renato Bruson, Luis Alva, Vincenzo Scalera, James Vaughan, Ottavio Dantone, Giovanni Antonini, Pietro Mianiti, Marco Guidarini, Michael Hampfe, Marco Gandini, and Antonio Albanese at the academy from 2007-2009. Since 2007, Büyükedes has participated in many international competitions and received awards. She has performed with various orchestras in Turkey and Italy.
