Ece Göksu was born into a musical family in Ankara. She took piano lessons at the age of five and sang at the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Children Chorus. She entered the Piano Department at Hacettepe University State Conservatory when she was eleven years old. While studying at university, Göksu founded a jazz group. In 2002 she moved to Istanbul and graduated from the Piano Department of Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory.
Göksu has participated in many international jazz festivals in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. She has also given many concerts in Europe, UAE, and the US. In 2007 she received a Fulbright fellowship and pursued her Master′s degree at William Paterson University, where she studied with Nancy Marano, Cecil Bridgewater and Mulgrew Miller. In 2011 Göksu sang for Yavuz Akyazıcı Project′s album "Turkish Standards Vol.1." In the same year she gave a concert with the Duke Ellington Orchestra in Istanbul. Göksu released her first album "Masal" in 2012. She then released "Close Your Eyes" with Neşet Ruacan and Volkan Gürsever in 2015. Göksu currently continues her work in Istanbul.
