Emre Aydın

Emre Aydın was born in Isparta in 1981. After graduating from Antalya Anadolu High School, he studied economics at Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir upon his parents′ wish. In 2002, while studying there, Aydın attended a musical competition "Sing Your Song" with his friend Onur Ela, and sang his song "Dönersen (If you come back)." They won the competition and the song was selected by Universal Music into a selection album, and their rock band "6. Cadde" was offered a contract with Universal Music in Turkey. Aydın achieved big success with his first single album "Afili Yalnızlık."

Aydın has received numerous awards such as "Best Rock Music Artist of the Year," "Best Newcomer Artist of the Year," "Best Song of the Year," "Best Album of the Year and Best Video Clip of the Year." He was also selected Europe’s Favorite Artist at MTV’s 2008 Europe Music Awards. After his 2009 single “Falling Down”, Aydın released his second solo album "Kağıt Evler" in 2010. The album’s debut song “Bu Yağmurlar” became the most listened to and downloaded song on digital platforms.
