İlhan Şeşen was born in Manisa in 1948. After finishing law school, he worked as a lawyer for ten years. In 1968, he started into music and sang in a dance band, also learning to play guitar. He released a 45 album, "Kavga" in 1971. In 1983, leaving his law practice, Şeşen founded the group "Grup Gündogarken" with his nephews Gökhan and Burhan. In 1994, Şeşen released his first solo album “Aşk Haklı”. After presenting “Genöler Haklı” program on TRT, he produced and presented "Arka Pencere" program on a special TV channel. He also presented radio program "Amcam Burada". Şeşen acted in the TV drama "Cesur Kuşku" on TRT 1. In 2002, his second solo album “Neler Oluyor Bize” was released and became a great hit. In the next year, Şeşen released his third solo album “Şimdi Ben Bu Şarkları Kime Söyleyeyim?”. In the same time, he acted in the TV drama “Mühürlü Güller” on TRT 1. His forth album “Aşk Yalan” was released in 2005. He also performed in the TV drama “Aliye” on ATV (2004) and “Annem” on Kanal D (2007).
