Cihan Ünal

Cihan Ünal was born in Kastamonu in 1946. He is a brother of the stage actor, Hepşen Akar. Cihan Ünal graduated from Ankara State Conservatory. When he was a student, he worked as a volunteer at the Theater Department of TRT Ankara Radio and Community Centre. He then began working at Ankara State Theatre in 1968. He became a member of Istanbul State Theatre in 1982. In 1995 he became a group member of the Tiyatro Istanbul. He has taught at Ankara State Conservatory and the Theater Department in Istanbul Mimar Sinan University. Ünal has continued to act in films and TV dramas.
