Metin Serezli

Metin Serezli was born in Istanbul in 1934. He studied Law and History of Art at Istanbul University. He started performing as an amateur at Istanbul University Youth Theatre in 1954. In the following year, he joined the Dormen Theatre, and acted in the comedy “Papaz Kaçtı”. In 1971, Serezli established Çevre Theatre. He has taken part in more than 69 plays, and directed 28 plays and 5 musicals. Serezli participated in many festivals, which were held in Erlangen, Bristol, and Avignon, as a participant and a member of Turkish delegation. He has received many awards such as “the Best Drama Director Award”, “Afife Theater Awards”, and “the Award for the Best Successful Musical or Comedy Actor of the Year”.
