Levent Tülek was born in Istanbul in 1964. He attended Fenerbahçe High School. He then studied at the Department of Social Anthropology of Istanbul University and the Faculty of Literature of Mimar Sinan University. In 1979, he started acting in the Kadıköy Deneme Sahnesi. He has performed in many stages such as “Tersine Dünya,” “Sezuan’ın İyi insanı” and “Klaksonlar Borazanlar Bırtlar” in the İAST, Hadi Çaman Yeditepe Oyuncuları, Ali Poyrazoğlu Theater, Dormen Theater, Tiyatrokare, Istanbul Comedy Theatre, and the Theatre of Bakırköy Municipality. In addition, Tülek has written plays and directed and performed in many films, TV dramas and radio programs. He has served as a stage manager and actor in the Theatre of Bakırköy Municipality. During the 2007-2008 seasons, Külek staged Özen Yula’s “Göz Kara Alaturka.” In addition, he adapted Hamlet and acted solo in it. As a writer, he published “Lümpen Sözlüğü” (Istanbul: Sel Publications, second edition, 2007). He directed the TV drama “Çorap Söküğü” in 2008. In 2010, he received the "Best Supporting Actor" award in the 15th Sadri Alışık Film and Theater Awards for his role in the film "Deli Deli Olma." Currently, Tülek serves as an art director in the Küçükçekmece Cennet Culture and Art Center in Istanbul.
