Nihat İleri was born in Samsun in 1955. After graduating from the Theater Department at Ankara State Conservatory in 1977, he started working as an actor at the Ankara State Theatre. In 1979 he joined the Istanbul State Theatre. From 1993 to 1998 İleri acted in Theater an der Ruhr in Germany. He has also acted in many films and TV series. In the season of 2006-2007 he founded Bi Tiyatro with Laçin Ceylan and Levent Öktem. İleri currently continues acting in the Istanbul State Theatre.
