Osman Wöber was born in Ankara in 1960. After graduating from the Law Faculty at Istanbul University, he pursued his study at the Theater Department in the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan University. He started acting at the State Theatres. Wöber also worked as a manager and art director at the Adana State Theatre (1988-1993) and Istanbul State Theatre (1995-1998). He received a fellowship from Goethe Institute twice and worked at theatres in Germany. In 2001 Wöber was appointed to the head of the Istanbul State Theatre and worked there until 2009. He directed the play "Kamyon" (1995), which was a written script by Negnet Baydur and staged at several State Theatres in Turkey. Besides theater plays, Wöber has acted in many films and TV series such as Sekizinci Saat (1994), Cumhuriyet (1998), "Kurtlar vadisi" (2003), "Organize isler" (2005) and "Kurtlar vadisi - Pusu" (2007).
